Your Moonknots piece is handmade with carefully selected materials and designed to accompany you for a long time. With a little extra care, you can help keep your jewelry beautiful and in good condition.

General

To keep your piece looking its best, I recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to:

  • water and humidity
  • sweat
  • salt water
  • perfumes and body sprays
  • creams and lotions
  • hairspray and other cosmetic products

We especially recommend taking your jewelry off before showering, swimming, exercising or going into the sea.

If your piece gets wet, let it dry completely in a dry place before storing it.

Cords

Jewelry is handmade with high-quality waxed polyester cords. They are strong, durable and resistant to water, and the colors are designed to stay vibrant over time.

Metal components

Beads and other metal details are made from nickel-free brass.

Brass naturally changes over time. With exposure to air, moisture, sweat and cosmetics, it can gradually lose some of its shine and develop a more muted/vintage appearance. This is a natural characteristic of brass.

To bring back the shine, gently polish the metal parts with a jewelry polishing cloth.

Storing your jewelry

When you're not wearing your jewelry, store it in a dry place, preferably away from direct sunlight and humidity.
